Would increasing the amount of experiential learning in elementary school classrooms promote more students to become more adaptable adults?
Exploring themes of different educational practices and methods has allowed me to reflect on different opportunities to improve the education system itself. Through means of more reflective practice and more self or experiential learning opportunities, we could see an improvement of capability for our youth and young adults as they enter the workforce and develop their lives. This inspired me to ask the question listed above and conduct research to see just how much of an impact more experiential learning could make. After researching the topic extensively, I have come to the conclusion that the traditional education system diminishes creativity by limiting critical thinking, free thought, and personal reflection.
